My sweet children -- eager for their new sister

Here are my girls & daddy with their great grandma!! Grandma Lucille had hip replacement surgery just after this photo. (June 19th). Please pray for her as her surgery has had complications. She is 86!

Yesterday (Saturday, June 28) my four darlings brought me a decorated box with slots on top labeled $ and cents. The box said, "For Mei Xiang's Adoption." They opened it up and said, "This is our secret sister box!" Inside was all the money that they had saved (so far) to contribute toward the expense of adoption. It was over $100.00 !!!! They had put in babysitting money and change ... and even a $45 check that had come from a babysitting job in May (... sorry to the parents who are wondering why THAT check didn't clear yet!) I was ready to cry and gave them all big hugs. How sweet is that?!

Speaking of sweet ... last night we picked cherries from our tree in the front yard. It is a huge tree, but it never had cherries before! We had enough for a large cherry pie!! Delicious!

Today is hard for me and Tom, though. Kayla has gone to Kansas City for a whole two weeks (Awakening Teen Camp at International House of Prayer). It will be great for her, but so hard for us. We miss her already! Thanks again to those of you helped make her trip possible! We can't wait to hear the wonderful stories she comes home with!

Maybe I will have some photos to post soon!
