TA and CA .. PTL !

As snowflakes danced outside our windows this morning, I marveled again at their beauty. I turned on my computer to gaze at my desktop background: a recent photo of our Meixiang waiting for us in sunny, warm southern China. What will she think of the snow? I wondered.

Then within hours my life was a flurry of activity! Our consulate appointment (CA) was approved right away! This is on the heels of yesterday's news: Our travel approval (TA) had arrived over Thanksgiving. What it means ..... we are actually going to China for Christmas! Actually, we are leaving on Mei's birthday and returning the day after Christmas. What an incredible journey! PTL!

Looking back, we see the long journey that began almost a year ago, when God whispered in our ears -- "I have another beautiful blessing for you." Oh my -- we had no idea! We didn't know that her name would mean, in essence, "beautiful blessing." For certain we didn't expect that she would be eight years old when we adopted her. And we didn't expect it would take all the way to Christmas to receive this blessing. Yet, here we are on the final steps, making our travel arrangements ... hotel, plane tickets, etc.

Thanks for joining us on the journey! We feel so blessed to have you all as traveling companions!! Join us in rejoicing today. And thanks for continuing to keep us all in your prayers.

Isaiah 41:10 (Amplified Bible)
10Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice
