While we don't have official travel dates and can't reserve any plane tickets yet, we do have the next best thing: Our agency is going to help us try to make it to China before Christmas. We might even be flying back from China on Christmas Day!! That is only one month away!
We have our Visas in our passports and have purchased most of the necessities we need to pack. We know where we are going to stay while in China (the Victory Hotel, Guangzhou -- much cheaper than the White Swan where we stayed before for part of the trip) and a basic idea of our itinerary. We will meet Meixiang on the Monday after we arrive in China (hoping & praying for the 14th -- just after she turns 8). Grace is eager to go. The other girls are eager for us to get there and return.
Christmas will be so different this year. I'm skipping the shopping (except for shopping in China for souvenirs). Can't say that I'll miss it.
