Our friend Robyn in China, and her daughter, Mei Ke, visited the orphanage yesterday and sent us some photos of Mei Xiang (the one with the purple striped shirt and red polka dot shorts - oh my.). What a blessing to have these photos! As you can see, Mei Xiang is looking every bit the 7 year old. But I don't think she is really that big. The shorter girl in the photos with three girls is Mei Ke and Robyn says she is dressing her in a 4T which is so big it hangs on her.
Mei Xiang looks so happy! And Robyn tells us it seems that the orphanage staff really do care for the children and treat them well. PTL!
The Mei's being adopted are facing normal adjustment issues now -- some regressing a bit, some acting stubborn, some crying at night time. But they seem to respond so well to being comforted. No major issues so far. Keep praying for them. Can you imagine facing that much change at age 7 ?
